Thats right… NicoSheen electronic cigarette by Charlie Sheen. Is anyone as annoyed with Charlie Sheen as much as I am? Charlie Sheen recently informed TMZ that he is going to be launching his own electronic cigarette company that he will be calling NicoSheen. Goodness, can this guy be anymore full of himself? NicoSheen by Charlie Sheen…. Really? Apparently, he even has some other celebrities as partners willing to back a ridiculous electronic cigarette like this such as former baseball player, Lenny Dykstra. Charlie Sheen already has several other products he endorses such as, comic books, an energy drink, shirts, and mugs just to name a few.

We at Ecigsavings are not looking forward to this product as it will more than likely affect the electronic cigarette market in a negative manner. Typically companies that start up like this in more of a publicity attempt tend to try and get the products produced in the least expensive way possible cutting several corners in the process however this is just our opinion derived from other markets out today and really hope that the NicoSheen electronic cigarette doesn’t end up being garbage and hurting the market by scaring away new customers from e-cigs.

Bottom line we hope that we are wrong but we think that it is a horrible idea for Charlie Sheen to start this NicoSheen electronic cigarette company. It’s apparent his ideas have not been the best lately with all the recent coverage regarding the Charlie Sheen rants where he has actually been getting booed off stage. NicoSheen e-cigs will hopefully never come to pass however if they do we hope that Charlie Sheen has enough sense to at least make sure they are well made and not do something stupid to hurt the industry. SmokeStik and Firebrand are good companies to use as an example.

The list cigarettes chemicals found in tobacco cigarettes is absolutely enormous. There are OVER 4,000 different cigarette chemicals that get inhaled into you lungs when you smoke. At least 69 of the cigarettes chemicals have been proven to cause cancer. In 1994 the Department of Health and Human Services received a list of 599 of the cigarettes chemicals and it was approved by the US government for use in the manufacturing of cigarettes. This list of a cigarettes chemicals was kept secrete for a very long time.

The Tobacco companies that reported these cigarette chemicals were:

American Tobacco Company
Brown and Williamson
Liggett Group, Inc.
Phillip Morris Inc.
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company

You may notice that some of the cigarettes chemicals found below can also be found in some foods. While this is true, it is extremely different when you burn these chemicals. When the cigarettes chemicals are burned their properties change dramatically, often for the worse. Carbon Monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanides, and ammonia are all present chemicals in cigarette smoke. It can be extremely upsetting to think about the fact that cigarette smokers are literally ingesting poison on a regular basis and also sharing that poison with those they love around them as 43 known carcinogenic cigarette chemicals are carried in the air.

As you can see making a switch to electronic cigarettes is an obviously wise choice. There are only a handful of chemicals found in a electronic cigarette and the only prominent one being nicotine which has been said that as long as it is not ingested in its pure liquid form nicotine is as harmful as caffeine and merely a highly addictive substance.If all tobacco smokers were to switch to an electronic cigarette it is believed the death rate would go from over 5 million deaths to a mere 5000 most of which are caused by rare allergies.Cigarettes chemicals are abundant and extremely harmful. The Electronic cigarette has been in the news a lot lately, both in good light and in bad light. Both ways, people are talking about the electronic cigarette, and thats what matters. Just by searching ‘electronic cigarette’ on a search engine, you will find a cornucopia of articles and news stories surrounding these groundbreaking devices.

The FDA has issued several warnings to the public, speaking out against the electronic cigarette. The FDA claims that they have done research on certain brands that market the electronic cigarette, in which they found cancer causing carcinogens and other toxins. One thing they did not bother to mention is that the carcinogen that they found are the same toxins that are found in the air you breathe every single day. Seems a bit misleading doesnt it? However, the FDA has not gone as far as Canada in banning the electronic cigarette devices. For now electronic cigarettes are legal and we dont see that changing. The FDA tried to ban several shipments of the electronic cigarettes from reaching the United States and even succeeded a couple times but eventually were told where to stick it and have not tried since.

The electronic cigarettes has been advertised and promoted as a healthier alternative to regular tobacco cigarettes. They contain no tar and none of the other 4000 chemicals found in a single cigarette. The only main ingredient in the electronic cigarette is nicotine. There are different styles of electronic cigarettes on the market, from the pen style to those that are made to strongly mirror a real cigarette. All electronic cigarettes are made up of a rechargeable battery, circuitry, atomizer, and mouthpiece. When a person inhales through the mouthpiece, the atomizer is activated, which then turns the liquid into a vapor. Electronic cigarettes offer varying amounts of nicotine and can even be purchased with no nicotine at all for those trying to quit all together but still feel like they have to be doing something with their hands which is a major advantage for the electronic cigarette.

Another concern of the FDA is that the electronic cigarette will draw the attention of youth. The electronic cigarette is primarily marketed online however many malls actually carry them as well but you will find the price tags to be EXTREMELY higher than you would online. They also fear that the plethora of electronic cigarette flavors would entice young people to give smoking a try and will eventually get them hooked on nicotine. Flavors such as vanilla, cherry, chocolate, bubblegum, and spearmint are offered for the electronic cigarette and although they are extremely yummy they do have a appeal to minors then again how is that any different from a hookah. The concern is that this would entice young people to form a nicotine addiction.

Several electronic cigarette companies have spoken out against the fear that the devices are targeted to young people. They have argued that their product is not in fact marketed to young people in any way, shape, or form. All the electronic cigarette companies only market to 18 and up.

We believe that the FDA is overreacting and may even be influenced by the tobacco company since analog cigarettes bring in a great about of income to the government but that is only a theory.

Electronic Cigarette (Lingo) Glossary of Terms

Analog (Analogue) – The name given to traditional tobacco cigarettes by those who now use an electronic cigarette. If the e-cig is the electronic version…..the tobacco version is the analog

Atomizer – The atomizer is contained in a metal housing that screws into the battery. When the mouthpiece is removed, it looks like a silver loop of metal. The atomizer is what turns the liquid into a vapor. Atomizers are used on a multitude of products from perfume bottles, inhalers for medications, cooking sprays, squirt bottles etc.

Battery – The battery is what provides power to the atomizer when the user inhales on the mouthpiece. It is general lithium ion, ranges in size and has an LED light on the end that glows when it is activated, ie. when it is inhaled upon. Manual switched batteries have a button to activate rather than activation upon inhalation.

Cartomizer – A combination of disposable atomizer and cartridge. It is not considered to be refillable, although some users do manage to do so.

Cartridge – The cartridge is a small piece that sits within the mouthpiece that contains the wick. This is the area where one will put the eLiquid that will be turned into vapor via the activation of the atomizer.

Electronic Cigarette – The Electronic Cigarette is a new product available thanks to recent technology. This “E-Cigarette” is a revolutionary device that acts much the same way an ordinary tobacco cigarette would, but rather than producing smoke from combustion, it produces vapor from vaporization of the E-Liquid. This is also why many e-smokers referred to their Electronic Cigarettes as Personal Vaporizers (PV).

Electronic Cigarette Association (ECA) – An industry group formed in early 2009. It is made up of suppliers and manufacturers who combined resources to help keep the e-cigarette as a legal option for smokers in the USA.

E-Cigarette (E Cigarette, ECigarette) – Another term or variation for the Electronic Cigarette.

E-Cig (E Cig, ECig) – A truncated version of the words Electronic Cigarette and E-Cigarette.

E-Liquid (E Liquid, ELiquid, eLiquid) – E-Liquid is the substance used to saturate the wick and will be heated by the atomizer for vaporization into an inhalable vapor. There are many different types of E-Liquid available on the market. All contain similar ingredients but the most commonly found ingredients in the E-Liquid are Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, natural and artificial flavors, tobacco essential oil, tobacco absolute, citric acid, lemon, vinegar and water.

E-Smoke (E Smoke, ESmoke) – E-Smoke is a term used for the action of smoking the electronic cigarette. E-Smoke is also known as a “Vapor” as the action of electronic smoking is actually caused by a vaporization process. As the vapor produced is not caused by combustion and does not burn, it is technically not smoke.

E-Smoking(E Smoking, ESmoking) – E-Smoking is a truncated term for Electronic Smoking.

Mod – A design variation of a normally manufactured battery, atomizer, or cartridge. Mods are generally done by avid e-smokers looking to increase vapor production, battery life, or ease of use.

Mouthpiece – The mouthpiece is what looks like a cigarette butt or a cigarillo tip. This piece houses the cartridge which houses the wick. This piece, when attached to the atomizer, allows the user to make connection with their mouth.

Nicotine Level – The nicotine level is the amount of nicotine present in a cartridge or bottle of e-liquid. It is usually measured in mg/ml.

Personal Vaporizer (PV) – Personal Vaporizer is another term for electronic cigarette. The electronic cigarette uses an atomizer to vaporize the liquid needed to create a vapor for inhalation and exhalation.

Propylene Glycol (PG) – Propylene Glycol is used as a base carrier for the nicotine and flavoring. Propylene Glycol has been deemed generally safe to be used in medical products as well as food products for general consumption. Some people have reported having an allergic reaction to PG. These people also find that they have issues with certain brands of toothpaste, lotions, soaps, and medicines containing PG. If you have issues with PG, it is suggested you look into using a product with a Vegetable Glycerin base.

Smoke Juice – Smoke Juice is an interchangeable word for E-Liquid.

Throat Hit – Throat hit is the sensation that is felt in the back of the throat when the inhalation is taken from the mouth down the throat. There are several factors in throat hit and throat hit, like taste, is totally subjective. Some of the factors to throat hit are nicotine level, purity or quality of the E-Liquid, personal smoking habits or techniques, and the proper usage and care of your hardware. The factor that varies throat hit the most is in the nicotine level. E-Liquids containing more nicotine usually give a greater throat hit.

Vaping – An alternative word for eSmoking. As the electronic cigarette utilizes vaporization instead of combustion and creates a vapor instead of smoke, many electronic cigarette users have coined themselves as “Vapers” or participating in “Vaping” vs. “Smoking”.

Vapor (Vapour) – Vapor is what is produced by the atomizer when the E-Liquid is turned from a liquid to a gas. The vapor produced by the electronic cigarette is similar to that of a fog machine used in theatrical performances and parades with one exception: As reputable manufacturers/suppliers use Food Grade, High Quality Propylene Glycol as their base, the fog or vapor produced by the electronic cigarette is generally purer than that of a fog machine.

Vaporizer (Vapouriser) – A Vaporizer turns a liquid into a gas or a vapor. This is also another term used for Electronic Cigarette, E-Cig, PV, etc.

Vegetable Glycerin (VG) – Vegetable Glycerin is an alternative to Propylene Glycol and is sometimes used as the majority base in the E-Liquid. Vegetable Glycerin comes from the production of palm or coconut oils and is suitable to be used in sweeteners and in skin care products.

Wick – The wick is poly batting that looks like cotton and is stuffed into the cartridge which is housed in the mouthpiece. The wick is what holds the e-Liquid that is to be vaporized by the atomizer.

Smoking causes heart disease, cancer, strokes, emphysema, and other life altering diseases. Over 400,000 Americans die each year from smoking related deaths. We all know the downsides of smoking tobacco cigarettes. We hear about it everywhere. But does that stop smokers from lighting up a cigarette? Usually the answer to that question is ‘no’. Due to the health risks of smoking, many public places have banned smoking.

Newly popular electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, have provided a safe alternative to smokers. Electronic cigarettes offer nicotine, flavor, and the feeling and satisfaction of smoking a regular cigarette.

You might wonder how an electronic cigarette works and what is so great about it. Most electronics are generally similar. They contain a circuitry, a rechargeable battery, an atomizer, and a mouthpiece. They generally work the same as well. When you inhale, the atomizer is activated and vaporizes a small amount of liquid from within the cartridge in the filter.

Electronic cigarettes are made to imitate a tobacco cigarette. Electronic cigarettes even offer menthol or tobacco flavors, so that you can get the feeling of smoking a regular cigarette. Some may argue that electronic cigarettes are just as dangerous as analog cigarettes because they contain nicotine. They do indeed contain nicotine, however they do not contain other harmful chemicals and carcinogens as tobacco cigarettes do. Electronic cigarettes do not involve smoke, fire, ash, butts, or smells. Electronic cigarettes are not nearly as harmful to the environment as tobacco cigarettes are.

Many smokers spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on cigarettes each year. With an electronic cigarette, one cartridge is known to last the equivalent of two packs of tobacco cigarettes. An electronic cigarette, or e-cigarette, is a battery-operated device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine in the form of a vapor. Regular cigarettes contain harmless chemicals such as tar, tobacco, carbon monoxide, and other cancerous carcinogens. There are no flames, smoke, fire, or heat involved with electronic cigarettes. These differences have convinced many people to invest in electronic cigarettes.

I know we’ve all heard the saying ‘Where there’s smoke, there’s fire’. The great thing about electronic cigarettes is that there is no smoke or fire! Smoking is the leading cause of residential fires and causes an estimated 30% of U. S. and 10% of global fire death burdens. Electronic cigarettes eliminate the risk of burning your house down with a lit cigarette! Also secondhand smoke is one of the leading reasons that tobacco cigarettes have been banned in most restaurants across the country. With an electronic cigarette, you are not actually smoking. You are inhaling a vapor, which dissipates in the air almost instantly. There are several different electronic cigarettes available on the market. You can easily find e-cigarettes online at a reasonable price.

I know electronic cigarettes sound completely amazing and harmless. There are however risks and disadvantages as well. Although electronic cigarettes are far healthier and safer than regular tobacco cigarettes, you are still inhaling nicotine, which is a very addictive chemical but at the same time not really harmful physically to your body from what they can tell. The good news is that you can opt to smoke your electronic cigarette without nicotine if you chose to do so. You definitely can not choose that option with a standard cigarette. Electronic cigarettes may contain nicotine, but they do not contain the other harmful chemicals that tobacco cigarettes do.

Although electronic cigarettes are safer than tobacco cigarettes, there is still an age requirement as with regular cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are not marketed towards underage individuals. There are precautions and requirements of proper identification to ensure that electronic cigarettes are not sold to a consumer that is underage.

There is still a lot of controversy surrounding electronic cigarettes, but if you ask me, the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages. One scientist even said we have 400,000 deaths a year in America alone related to smoking cigarettes and if everyone switched to electronic cigarettes that number would decrease to as low as 4000!
